We Made $26,751 In Black Friday Bookings

Here's How Skyridge Glamping Did It

Hello Insiders,

Black Friday is a major opportunity for resort owners. Skyridge Glamping, the first Posh Outdoors partner location, proved that last week.

Lots of people will browse your website and stalk your Instagram page without making a booking. Sometimes, all they need is a gentle nudge with a discount.

Team Skyridge put this to the test as part of their Black Friday campaign. And it worked a treat.

They offered 30% off 3+ night stays. To advertise the discount, they sent an email to the mailing list and posted a couple of times on social media.

Nothing fancy. Just a graphic whipped up on Canva.

As a reminder, there are currently 15 cabins at Skyridge Glamping. 10 “SkyBoxes” are wholly owned by the resort, while Posh Outdoors owns 5 “SkyGlasses” and receives 30% of the lodging revenue on those.

So how did the campaign perform?

  • The email generated $14,428 CAD across all unit types ($10.3k USD)

  • The Instagram posts did $12,323 CAD in direct bookings ($8.8k USD)

I have all kinds of ideas on how we can improve this next year. But it shows you don’t have to reinvent the wheel to generate a flurry of bookings on days like Black Friday.

A simple email and social campaign can work wonders.
